Advanced protection against custom unmanned platforms

Our system is an innovative radio security solution, designed specifically for the identification and precise neutralization of drones built from publicly available components, in particular First Person View (FPV) platforms. Our approach is a response to the growing threat from non-standard flying platforms, against which classic anti-drone systems turn out to be ineffective.

Threat Characteristics:

Why are standard systems insufficient?

Commercially available anti-drone solutions have been optimized for popular commercial platforms (e.g., the DJI series). They rely on known vulnerabilities in the manufacturers' factory firmware, allowing for control to be taken over by security forces, for example.

 

Modern DIY (Do It Yourself) drones, which are often used offensively, pose other challenges:

No dependence on geolocation systems:

 

These drones often operate in full manual control mode, without built-in GPS modules. This makes commonly used techniques for jamming and spoofing location signals (GPS jamming and spoofing) completely useless against them.

No manufacturer restrictions:

 

The components used to construct DIY drones do not contain artificial restrictions that prevent entry into critical areas.

Ability to use a wide spectrum of radio bands:

 

DIY platforms can utilize a variety of, often non-standard, frequencies. This hardware flexibility allows them to effectively bypass many detection systems that are tuned exclusively to the most popular, commercial bands.

No built-in identification protocols:

 

Identification data and the physical location of the drone and operator are not broadcast.

Broadband interference in public, urban areas, or near critical infrastructure leads to the immediate paralysis of legally operating civilian devices and emergency systems that operate in the same frequency bands.

Due to side effects and the risk of infrastructure disruption, the use of jammer systems is unacceptable in many locations and operational scenarios.

Selective Neutralization: The system sends precisely crafted data packets that individually interrupt the communication session between the operator and a specific drone, leading to its immediate neutralization.
